Services include grease trap pumping, used cooking oil collection, pressure washing, line inspection, line jetting, waste oil and wastewater processing, depackaging and composting. This is one of the things Beth Renwick is most excited about - the rethinking sustainability aspect.
"We are advocates on how to live more midfully and help the environment," she says. "Being able to offer industrial companies and small mom-and-pop shops the ability to get rid of things in a more mindful manner is meaningful."
"So there was always a need for recycling, and we fill a niche where we don't just recycle waste cooking oil. We have big, huge service trucks that can solve all kinds of other problems as well as other service trucks that can perform cleaning services. So, it started just because we needed oil to be able to make biodiesel, which we have done here in the past and in-house. The the next thing you know, a restaurant had a mess that needed to be cleaned. Hey, can you pressure wash? So I bought a pressure washer and set it up and then 'Can you use a video camera to inspect the drain line to the restaurant?' So I just kept adding on different tools to solve new problems."
2022 was a great year for Green Energy Biofuel. The company was recognized by Carolina Recycling Association as Recycler of the year, voted by employees as one of the Best Places to Work in South Carolina, and became #1 Fastest Growing Small Company in the state.
To top all of that the depackaging equipment started operation and allows us to help others on their journey to become zero-waste.
